Maintenance Contracts

Introduction

FM Alarm Systems are frequently deployed in critical situations where vulnerable individuals and/or property are at risk. Systems are installed by a broad spectrum of customers; and are generally required to operate unsupervised in a variety of domestic and commercial properties. System reliability is therefore of paramount importance.

FM Alarm System typically consist of:

  • Wire-free Detection Equipment, frequently presented within protective carrying cases;
  • Alarm Control Units which manage the Detection Equipment, and radios or other communication devices;
  • Alarm Receiver Software that is installed on PC terminals within Alarm Receiving Centres; and
  • Integration Software, that provides an interface to Alarm Monitoring Systems.

It is a well established policy of FM Electronics to continuously enhance and develop the functionality of all its products. This regularly involves the addition of new features required by our clients throughout the UK. The FM Support and Maintenance programme gives access to all such enhancements and developments.

FM Alarm Systems can be covered by a comprehensive Support and Maintenance contract that is designed to provide full annual servicing of Alarm Control Units and Detection Equipment, plus support for all system users. It incorporates system upgrades as required. This cover is provided on a Free of Charge basis for the first 12 months, following delivery of the system.

Cover Provided

  • Annual return to factory, for full service of Alarm Control Units and Detection Equipment;
  • Annual replacement of batteries and power units in Alarm Control Units and Detection Equipment;
  • Completion of annual Portable Appliance Testing to conform to regulation, and the issue of certificates;
  • Essential hardware upgrades to maintain full and developing functionality of Alarm Control Units;
  • Maintaining records of all servicing and testing of equipment; plus the prompting of action by clients;
  • Training sessions for new users and refresher courses for redeployed personnel;
  • Maintenance of training records; to assist customers with any compliance requirements;
  • Telephone Support for users involved in day-to-day deployment of Alarm Control Units;
  • Telephone Support for administrators responsible for the management or operation of Alarm Receiver Software
  • Software upgrades for Alarm Control Units and Alarm Receivers to maintain full and developing system functionality.
  • Liaison with Alarm Monitoring System equipment/software suppliers to maintain effective integration;
